The ranch is mostly rolling grass land that has some mesa land and canyons on the northern and eastern part of the ranch. The main grasses are Gramma, Galleta and some sand grasses. There are also a mix of Cedar and Juniper Trees scattered on the ranch.
The ranch has two working windmills, and another drilled well that needs to be put into production. There are also three springs on the ranch that furnish water for the cattle and wildlife. These springs have been developed for a long time and the years of drought have not affected them, therefore they are a reliable source of water.
The ranch has a BLM allotment, Semi Lonesome Allotment #00125. The allotment allows 174 head of cattle to be run on the ranch year-round.
The Semi Lonesome ranch is completely off the grid. The cabin at the headquarters has solar panels for the lights and gets water out of one of the springs. There are a set of corrals at the headquarters and another set of corrals and working pens at one of the windmills.
There is an abundant number of Elk and Mule Deer on the ranch along with other wildlife such as quail, mountain lions, coyotes, and other species.
